About Course

You don’t need any special equipment to do neuroscience—just your senses, your curiosity, and your own amazing brain. From noticing how your eyes play tricks on you to exploring how your brain makes decisions, you’ll try out fun, real experiments that reveal how your mind works.

Neuroscience might sound like a big word, but this session will show you that it’s just the science of you. You’ll leave not only with cool facts, but with a deeper understanding of how you think, learn, and see the world.

🔍 So come ready to explore your inner lab—and unlock the secrets of your own mind!

About Instructor

Introducing Dr. Krithika Mohan, PhD - a neuroscientist exploring how the brain makes sense of the world.Dr. Mohan earned her PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Chicago, where her research focused on understanding how neural activity supports visual categorization and learning. She continued this work through postdoctoral research at Caltech and UC Berkeley, investigating how groups of neurons encode information and guide complex decision-making.What makes Dr. Mohan’s work stand out is her ability to combine careful experimental research with advanced computational modeling. By using tools like recurrent neural networks, she brings new clarity to questions about how the brain represents and processes information. Her research, published in leading scientific journals, reflects a thoughtful and rigorous approach to understanding cognition.(For those of us who attended Kumarans group of schools, Krithika graduated from Kumarans in 2008! So, join us as we learn more from her.)We’re excited to learn from Dr. Mohan as she shares insights from the mechanisms behind how we think, learn, and perceive.
