For students in Grades 5–6 in Academic Year 2026–27

Gifted World · Short Courses for ATS Qualifiers

Your child has been identified as high-potential. Here’s what comes next.

The ASSET Talent Search doesn’t just rank students. It identifies children whose intellectual capacity is significantly above their age group — students who are ready for more than what the regular school curriculum can offer.

Identification is only the first step. What matters is what happens next. Research across the US, Europe, and East Asia consistently shows that high-potential children need intellectual stimulation at their level, mentors who can challenge them, and peers who think the way they do. Without these, many lose motivation, coast through school, or never discover what they’re truly capable of.

The window between ages 10 and 14 is critical. This is when intellectual habits form, when curiosity either deepens or fades, and when the right kind of challenge can change a child’s trajectory.

Gifted World’s short courses are designed for exactly this moment.

Short Courses — May/June 2026

5 sessions each, live on Zoom, over two weekends. Small cohorts of 10–15 students.

Connecting the Dots in Science

Grades 5–6

Connecting the Dots in Science

Where physics meets biology — and the questions get interesting

Why can a shrimp punch hard enough to boil water? Can levers help us understand how medieval weapons were designed?? Real science — not textbook science — where students build, measure, and discover across disciplines.

Connecting the Dots in Mathematics

Grades 5–6

Connecting the Dots in Mathematics

From patterns to predictions — the mathematics of growth, change, and surprise

Start with simple number patterns. End up understanding population growth, compound interest, and why some systems behave in ways nobody can predict. Students build their own models in Google Sheets and learn to question the stories numbers tell.

Computational Thinking

Grades 4–6

Computational Thinking

Think like a computer scientist — without writing a single line of code

What do tic-tac-toe, Google Search, and a 9th-century Persian mathematician have in common? Students discover the thinking behind computing — through games, puzzles, and ancient algorithms — and learn to spot hidden structure everywhere.

Why Gifted World

Not school. Not tutoring. Something your child hasn’t experienced before.

Schools are designed for the majority. These courses are designed for the students who need more — more depth, more challenge, more peers who think the way they do.

Real questions, not syllabi

Every session starts with a genuine question and follows it wherever it leads. No textbook chapters. No exam prep.

Students do the thinking

No lectures. Students build, measure, debate, and discover. The mentor asks questions — students arrive at the insights themselves.

Designed by researchers

Courses are built by mentors with research backgrounds from institutions worldwide. The kind of intellectual engagement your child would typically encounter years from now.

A room full of bright peers

Small cohorts of 10–15 students, all identified as high-potential. For many, the first time they’ve been in a room where everyone thinks at their level.

What students say

“In school I kind of run away from science. So now here, I’m actually being attracted to it. My mom asked me yesterday, ‘What has happened to you? You’re telling me all this information — what has happened to you?’”

— Aryahi, student · Connecting the Dots in Science

“The one thing I enjoyed learning was how games which don’t seem like together, but they have the same structure. And how graphs are connected to everything.”

— Rishi, student · Computational Thinking

“I was shocked realising population isn’t the cause of global warming.”

— Sharayu, student · Connecting the Dots in Mathematics

“I found this course the best way to start learning science. I used to hate science — only lectures. But now I’m rather enjoying it.”

— Meera, student · Connecting the Dots in Science

About Gifted World

Gifted World is the community and learning platform of GenWise, which has been working in gifted education since 2016. What began as residential summer programmes for India’s brightest students has grown into a year-round ecosystem — online courses, mentorship, career conversations, and a community of families who understand what it means to raise a high-potential child.

These short courses are the starting point. For students in Grades 7 and above, Gifted World offers TNP365 — a year-round talent nurturing programme with dedicated mentors, weekly sessions, and a structured path of intellectual growth. A similar programme for Grades 5–6 is in the works.

Gifted World also hosts free, open events — career conversations with professionals from diverse fields, masterclasses on ecology and science, and resources for parents navigating the world of gifted education. See more about our Masterclasses – https://giftedworld.org/masterclasses/
